Skyline Park

Historical views in a timeless setting

Skyline Park is a two-acre public sculpture garden on top of Memphis Art Museum that is free and open to the public. A quarter-mile walking path winds through native plants and sculptures, including works specifically commissioned for the rooftop, weaving together a series of green overlooks and gathering spaces along the bluff. It's a garden built to be lived in, with a view of the river that is virtually unchanged from two centuries ago.

The enclosed Pavilion allows the rooftop to host museum programs and private gatherings throughout the year, with glass walls that open to the garden in good weather and close when the temperature drops.

Spaces to Enjoy

The 50,000-square-foot garden covers the museum’s entire roof. Follow a quarter-mile James R. Humphrey Rooftop Meander past large-scale art, pause for the river view, or find a place to sit among plants chosen for the Mid-South landscape.
