Our Mission
Our Mission
To create joy through the power of art.
Memphis Art Museum — formerly the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Tennessee's oldest and largest art museum — has served as the city's cultural and educational anchor since 1916. In order to fulfill our mission, we make art accessible for all by offering free admission to local residents, as well as hundreds of free community events year-round for visitors of all ages, origins, and interests.
