Action!: Art in Motion

May 2022 through September 2022

Action! is an educational, interactive exhibition that encourages visitors to think about how two-dimensional art can capture dynamic moments of motion. This exhibition showcases twentieth-century American prints and watercolors from Memphis' collection at the Brooks that feature people, animals, and machines in action. Learn how master artists like Thomas Hart Benton, Diego Rivera, and Clare Leighton, use line and space to create intense images of dramatic movement. Bring your family and get moving in this fun, interactive exhibition!

This exhibition has been organized by The Brooks’s Education Department.
